Vehicle Safety Tips

There are many ways to keep yourself safe and here are some  best practices:
     
Become familiar with all safety features that your vehicle may have, such as:
o       Accident avoidance features
o       Blind spot warning
o        Pedestrian detection
      
Protect yourself from distracted driving
o        Avoid texting while driving; check your phone’s settings or use an app to disable texts
o        Pets can be a distraction; take steps to secure your pet for its safety and yours
o        If you drop something, avoid reaching for it and wait until you can pull over
        
Protect your vehicle from theft by the following:
o        Always lock your car even when driving
o        Install an anti-theft device or tracking system
o        Don’t keep valuables in your car
