The recent storm damaged hundreds of trees throughout our community. The Associations' first priority was to clear streets and sidewalks and to remove any branches or trees that present a danger to people—our landscaping crew has been tasked tom perform this work. Our second priority is to work with our expert arborist to professionally evaluate and treat severely damaged trees. This will take longer as arborists are in very high demand right now.
We ask that homeowners ONLY report damaged trees in the common areas that continue to present a potential danger--please email that information and location to PineCreek@ehammersmith.com.
Damaged Trees on Personal Property
Homeowners are responsible to remove all storm debris and branches from damaged trees located on their personal property. Homeowners have a couple of good options:
(A) Take damaged branches to the Black Forest Slash located about a 10-15 minute drive from Pine Creek Village. See details at www.bfslash.org
(B) Prepare for Waste Management pickup. Two methods are available:
(1) Bundle limbs and branches in 4-foot lengths and tightly bound with string so that the WM personnel can lift the bundle without movement; or
(2) Bag storm debris in black plastic bags and place curbside for Waste Management (WM) pickup. WM will pick up a maximum 5 bags for each homeowner in addition to the standard 96-gallon waste bin. Homeowners should use heavy duty 42-gallon black plastic bags available at local hardware stores.
