Did you ever wonder how far it was around the Pine Creek neighborhood on the major thoroughfares? Well wonder no longer. A resident Boy Scout has installed a walking trail marker system to help you keep track of your walking, jogging, running, biking, skating, and strolling miles. As part of an Eagle Scout community service project, the route along Briargate Parkway, Lexington Drive, Chapel Hills Drive, Royal Pine Drive, and Union Boulevard now has concrete markers set flush in the ground every 1/2 mile. The markers are white, 5-inches in diameter, with red numbers, and set along the sidewalks closest to the golf course. As you move along the route, every time you go from one marker to the next you have traveled .5 miles , and since marker 1 and 10 are .5 miles plus 175 feet apart, one lap of the entire route is 5 miles, 175 feet.
