PCVA Guidelines state "Basketball backboards are permitted in front and rear yards only. Basketball backboards located in front yards must be PERMANENTLY mounted on a pole on the exterior side of the driveway approximately halfway between the sidewalk and the front of the residence. Backboards may not be located along any sidewalk or street. Backboards attached to a residence and portable backboards are not permitted in front yards. Backboards located in rear yards shall be set back a minimum of 10 feet from a property line."
Temporary basketball hoops kept at the front of houses, stored lying down on the side of houses, etc., are not in compliance. Temporary ones cannot be permanently placed at the front or on the side of houses.
