Displaying Signs & Flags in PCVA

  • The display of signs is covered in the PCVA Guidelines, Sec 2.10.  PCVA has the authority to limit number and size of any signs displayed on a homeowner's property; homeowners may not place any signs on common grounds.  Signs must be non-commercial (e.g., roofing, landscaping, fence manufacturer, etc., signs are not allowed), with the exception for small security signs and temporary "for sale/rent" signage.
  • According to the PCVA Guidelines, Sec 2.10.2., 
    • Homeowners may not affix any signs to property fencing or walls, community fencing or walls, or mailbox kiosks." 
    • Front yard signs must be behind the street sidewalk, if any, and within the closest 1/3 of the property to the front entry of the residence. 
    • PCVA permits one non-commercial sign (not to exceed 18” x 24”) within the Owner’s property at a time. 
    • "All signs must be within the boundaries of the Unit. PCVA may remove any sign located on the common area without notice.
  • The display of flags is covered in the PCVA Guidelines, Sec 2.11.  PCVA has the authority to limit number and size of any flags displayed on a homeowner's property.  Flags must be non-commercial (e.g., roofing, landscaping, etc., flags are not allowed) and content-neutral in accordance with C.R.S. 38-33.3-106.5.
    • With respect to flying the American flag, PCVA Guidelines, Sec 2.11.3. states that American flags must be flow in accordance with U.S. Code:   "American flags must adhere to proper flag etiquette prior to flying (see https://www.usa.gov/flag). Title 36 U.S.C. §174 requires illumination of the American flag at night."
