Be a Good Neighbor

12/1/2025

To be a good neighbor, be friendly and respectful by introducing yourself, communicating openly, and being mindful of noise and boundaries. Be helpful by offering small favors and looking out for each other's property, and be considerate regarding pets and shared spaces.

Be friendly and communicate
  • Introduce yourself to your neighbors, especially if they are new.
  • Smile and wave when you see them.
  • Communicate proactively by letting neighbors know about planned parties or events.
  • When issues arise, handle them in person with a calm and respectful approach.
Be respectful of space and time
  • Keep noise levels down, especially late at night or early in the morning.
  • Respect shared walls and common spaces.
  • Maintain your yard and keep trash bins tidy.
  • Respect parking etiquette and keep your vehicles from blocking driveways or roads.
Be helpful and considerate
  • Offer to help with small tasks like watering plants, collecting mail, or watching their home.
  • Be a helpful resource by lending tools or offering small gifts, like a meal or baked goods.
  • Be a responsible pet owner by keeping pets from barking excessively and cleaning up after them.
  • Look out for your neighbors' property, and report any suspicious activity
