The Community Connections Committee and neighborhood volunteers installed a Little Free Library at the PCVA Private Park Pavilion on August 9th, 2025.
               Email community@pcva.org to report any problems.
​A Little Free Library is a free book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book. They function on the honor system. You do not need to share a book in order to take one.
If you take a book or two from a little library, try to bring some to share to that same library, or another in your area, when you can.
Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Our mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Library book-sharing boxes.  https://littlefreelibrary.org/about/

● Observe the school zone speed limits carefully and be alert to pedestrian actions
● Don't block the crosswalk when stopped at a red light or waiting to make a turn, forcing pedestrians to go around you; this could put them in the path of moving traffic
● In a school zone when flashers are blinking, stop and yield to pedestrians crossing the crosswalk or intersection
● Always stop for a school patrol officer or crossing guard holding up a stop sign
● Take extra care to look for children in school zones, near playgrounds and parks, and in all residential areas
● Don't honk or rev your engine to scare a pedestrian, even if you have the right of way
● Never pass a vehicle stopped for pedestrians
● Always use extreme caution to avoid striking pedestrians wherever they may be, no matter who has the right of way

]]><![CDATA[​Keep Sidewalks Open for Use]]>Sat, 15 Aug 2026 06:00:00 GMThttps://www.pcva.org/pcva-news/keep-sidewalks-open-for-usePlease do not block any residential sidewalk with cars, RVs, trailers, trucks, visiting vehicles, etc. so pedestrians can navigate the neighborhood easily and safely. Many residents and visitors enjoy using the sidewalks daily and often have difficulties navigating around a sidewalk obstruction.  It can be dangerous if they are required to walk in the street and leave the safety of the sidewalk.

City Code prohibits the blocking of sidewalks.
10.12.101: STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING IN SPECIFIED PLACES:
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, vehicular or pedestrian, or in compliance with directions of a police officer or traffic control device on a sidewalk or pedestrian walking area.]]>
