It is that time of the year again for homeowners to check the trees along their property and make sure they do not impede pedestrian safety or driver visibility. With new growth and limbs loaded with leaves, limbs are hanging down lower and growing farther to the side and may be impeding the sidewalks. Be sure to check that no tree limbs hang down or stick out and cause a safety hazard. A good guide is to trim limbs and make sure they hang no lower than 7.5 feet above the sidewalk and trim limbs 2 feet back from the sidewalk edge to allow free and safe movement.
