Trash & Recycling
Pine Creek has a contract with Waste Management for trash pickup and recycling. Trash is picked up every Friday, except on holiday weeks when it's delayed a day until Saturday. Recycling is picked up every other Friday except on holiday delayed weeks. Check the PCVA calendar for trash pickup / recycling days. Waste Management can pick up large items such as mattresses and refrigerators or other large items. The cost to haul these items is not included in your HOA dues, so you'll have to pay Waste Management directly for this service. You can call Waste Management at (719) 632-8877 to schedule a large item pickup. Using a combination of mechanized filter screens and optical recognition, recyclables can now be sorted at Waste Management's recycling facility. For you, this means no more sorting trash into overflowing bins, and carrying messy bins to your curb. You can now put all your recyclables into a single bin and leave it at the curb on recycling day. CLICK HERE to download an information sheet on what can and cannot be recycled.
The cost of the recycling pickup is included in your monthly dues. You can continue to use your existing recycling bins - you don't need to sort - just put any recyclables into any of the bins and set them on the curb. Or you can purchase a large recycling bin from Waste Management to make it easier than ever to recycle. The large bins cost $80 and you can order one directly by contacting PCVA management.
